Indoor Engineering Challenge’s

Combining fun engineering challenges we create a great way for your team to compete and interact while utilising cognitive, strategic, communicative and bargaining skills.
Teams will need to complete the Mighty Spaghetti and Marshmallow tower, the great Paper Aeroplane Air Race and the Egg Auction, each of these activities will encourage the team to use each member’s unique individual skills to the team’s advantage, plan strategize and have fun.

Mighty Spaghetti and Marshmallow Tower

With only a packet of spaghetti noodles and a handful of marshmallows, teams will need to strategise the best method to erect the tallest tower on the day!

The Great Paper Aeroplane Air Race

Given only a couple of sheets of paper, glue and siscors, teams must build a paper aeroplane which will then be entered into various categories of compitition including: farthest distance flown, highest altitude achieved, longest time in the air and greatest acrobatic feat.

The Egg Auction

Teams will need to build a structure that will be able to catch an egg dropped from a height of around 2 metres.
Teams will bid on items auctioned that will be needed for the building of the egg catching device.
The spending aspect will require financial planning as teams will be awarded points for building the most effective structure at the lowest cost base.

Once upon a time……

Given a fairy tale, props and costumes, teams will be required to draw on the metaphor found in the storey line with current affair issues and events  facing the world today.

A creative and light hearted take on problem solving with hilarious results that can be recorded on video and enjoyed for years to come.

We will end the day with an informal light hearted prize giving presentation.
