Cape Town Explorer

Instead of a standard city tour, why not see Cape Town’s history, culture and crafts while on an Amazing Race Treasure Hunt through the city?

Cape Town city centre is a fine example of the multicultural diversity found in South Africa. With its Cape Dutch Architecture, interesting museums, vibrant Mosques, bustling Waterfront Harbour and noisy markets it is the ideal city for a truly interactive South African experience.

Using the Rally format the teams will get a taste of this eclectic community while having fun and learning about the Cape History. Taste a Malay curry, find a clue in the castle dungeon, explore a giant Curio market and end with awesome views from Signal hill.

This is a great introduction to Cape Town!

Cape Point Adventure

The spectacular Cape Peninsula is perfectly set up for a day of adventure and fun.

We have included a number of activities to make the highlights of this route exciting and memorable while creating a unique experience of the area. The activities are suitable for all fitness levels.

At the hotel we board rugged African overland trucks and make our way through Hout Bay to Chapman’s Peak where we hop onto mountain bikes and freewheel down this spectacular winding road.

Back on the truck we’ll transfer to the Boulders Beach African Penguin colony where we board stable two-man inflatable kayaks and paddle our way through the channels between the rocks to see the Penguins waddling along the beach or gliding through the ocean. We pass beautiful bays and amazing rock formations, finishing at Froggy Beach.

At Millers Point we embark on a speedboat excursion and skim along the swells towards Cape Point. The Skipper of each boat will tell you stories of sea monsters, ghost ships and shipwrecks as well as the other historically significant details that make the Cape of Storms so notoriously famous.

Great lunch options are a picnic on the lawns at Buffels Bay in the Cape Point Reserve or at The Black Marlin Restaurant.

This programme can be adapted to meet time and budget restraints while still giving the group an action packed experience of the peninsula!

Cape Peninsula Rally

Adventure Car Rallies or Treasure Hunts are a fun way for delegates to discover the Cape a little differently, interacting with their surroundings and the locals.

The Cape Peninsula Rally takes delegates on a scenic drive past some of the Cape’s highlights including Signal Hill, Rhodes Memorial, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Constantia, Boyes Drive, Kalk Bay Harbour, Fishoek, Simon’s Town, Boulders Beach, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope stopping for photos and to enjoy the breath-taking scenery at leisure.

The Rally will take an Amazing Race type format where the guests will follow a series of cryptic clues that will take them on a set route, stopping at checkpoints at scenic hotspots en route. The rally is not a race against the clock but a day of discovery where points are awarded for correctly answering questions which enable the groups to explore the Cape while interacting with each other, learning about the destination they are visiting and having a lot of fun.

They will be provided with a Race Kit containing maps, a team passport, a kitty, a race book, and a chauffer driven Microbus. At each checkpoint a Marshal, dressed in a crazy costume will stamp their passport, give them their next clue and a task to perform en route to the following checkpoint. These could include creating a necklace from items they collect along the way, paddling around a buoy or dipping their toes in the Atlantic
.
After a late lunch we end the day off with a Team Poem or War-Cry before adding up the scores to determine the winning team.

This is a great day out!

Beach Team Building

Hout Bay is a protected bay, nestled amongst majestic mountains. It has awesome views and rolling waves that are great to learn to surf on, in a variety of craft without the danger of currents or powerful shore-breaks. It is a fantastic venue for a Beach Adventure.

The group will be divided into smaller teams that will compete against each other in a range of spirited events! These will require effective planning and teamwork to complete successfully but are essentially a great way to interact and have a laugh with one another!

Challenges include the Holy Water Towers, Ocean Rafting Relays, Blind Soccer, and Supersize Sack Racing amongst others and end with some traditional beach games such as Volleyball, Frisbees and beach bats.
The afternoon can be finished off with either a beach braai at a local restaurant or a picnic on the beach.

Canal Paddle

KAYAKING IN THE CITY!!!
Take a leisurely paddle on the Waterfront canal from the Arabella Hotel to the Cape Grace Hotel. See the contrasting architecture of Cape Town’s City Bowl with Table Mountain as the backdrop! Float past luxury apartments, under interesting bridges and alongside hotels for a completely unique look at the Waterfront Canal. A relaxing experience right in the hustle and bustle of the City!
A great way to start the day or to get from A to W. The paddle takes approximately half an hour plus a short briefing.

Old Mutual- Interactive & Strategic Teambuild

The Old Mutual Group were definitely in for some strategic communication exercises and activities as their logical thinking and skills were put to the test. From Cosmic lifts, to human knots and Blind Rope shapes… they were all involved in problem solving or solution finding. A lot of laughs and plenty of action.
