The Buzz: Desert Storm

P1050793.JPGThe first Adventure Works Buzz event got off to an awesome start with the intrepid pioneers heading into Atlantis Dunes for an afternoon of adventure networking! 4×4ing in an open jeep, quad biking, sand boarding and a fiercely contested boules tournament set the stage for great action and entertainment! High pitched screams and raucous laughter could be heard from all corners of the dunes as the sun broke through clouds to provide great views over Table Bay!

This has certainly set a  fantastic precedent and the next Buzz event is sure to be just as much fun!

Comments: Saskia, Terra Nova:  “Yesterday was so much fun. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to go mad in the dunes. It was great to experience it first hand and I felt like a marinated sandy chicken afterwards. Looking forward to the next adventure with Adventure Works! Have a great weekend and thanks to the whole team.”

Thanks also to  www.globelotter.com for providing the transport and Nice Equipment for providing the ablutions.

One & Only Canal Kayak

P1050744.JPG

The breathless blue sky, beautiful sunset and tranquil waterways ensured that our kayaking trip along the canal was the perfect way to sip a sundowner and relax after a hard day! The One & Only Hotel was the venue for an awesome Site function. It was great to catch up with everyone again and prepare for the coming season.

Perfect Winters Day Paddle

On one of the most amazing days we have had in a long time, was just right for a Cape Point Adventure event.
We paddled along the coast from Seaforth Beach past the penguins and back again,  the ocean was flat calm and the water was so clear the bottom was clearly visible.

Next the group boarded Power Boats and we set off for Cape Point, such a special sight seeing edge of Africa from the sea.

Fish River Canyon Rocks!

Hiking the Fish River Canyon is truly an awesome experience and the scenery is stunning and ever changing as you wind your way down river. The five day four night hike covers between 75 and 90km depending on the river level and how many shortcuts you take. The landscape is magnificent and abundant with klipspringers, zebra, wild horses and a surprising number of bird species.

Barbara from Adventure Works recently completed the hike and had this to say
“The canyon hike is fantastic and something that anyone can do with a bit of training. Sleeping under the stars and being at one with nature is great food for the soul.”

We Scored during the World Cup
